Poles apart has been removed, all of it, completely. I still saw it yesterday afternoon, so it happened last night. Wonder if it was the municipality (I doubt it) and if not, what does the remover want to do with it - can't wear it. Maybe sew it all into a blanket?

ReplyDeleteSorry about the bbb - I,m a bit challenged. But I do not think the thief is. I am sure your Poles Apart artwork may be hanging in the Everard Read Gallery in the near future. Some very observant collector must have photographed the installation, nicked the contents, had it artfully framed and is sitting on it to accrue some value. If you carry on like this, you are going to make someone very rich.
ReplyDeleteA bit like Strydom van der Merwe who does landscape art (or something like that). All he can do to preserve and record all his artistic interventions in nature is to photograph and publisize. Another artform is born.
please tell me (as i am severly technologically challenged) where i can see the Poles Apart installation??? this is my first visit to the blog and I now want to see everything. Fascinating so far, i have to say....
